29/6/2008 - Try my delicious green pizza

I am passionate about cooking, and trying new dishes.   The following is a really tasty pizza recipe and I hope you will try it out - if you think the mix of ingredients won't work, believe me they do and I have many satisfied customers.

GREEN PIZZA

Ingredients:

300g strong white flour

Sachet dried yeast

Pinch salt

150ml warm water

1tbs olive oil

Pesto sauce (buy a good quality jar or make your own)

One green eating apple

Cherry tomatoes (about a dozen)

Mozzarella cheese

Basil leaves

Black olives

Method:

Warm flour slightly in bowl in oven before use.   Make a well in centre of flour and add dried yeast water, salt and olive oil.   Mix well – preferably with bare hands.    Cover bowl and leave in a warm place to rise for about an hour.   Remove dough and roll out to about 6mm thick.   Place on an oiled oven tray or pizza pan.   Spread top with a thin layer of pesto sauce and very thinly sliced apple (skin on) and then scatter top with halved cherry tomatoes.  Shred mozzarella cheese and scatter over the tomatoes and pesto and then finish off with a few torn basil leaves and some halved black olives.   Bake in a hot oven for around 10 to 15 minutes.   Eat and enjoy!
